Dear Families

School is starting here in Calaveras County. Did you make a “New School year Resolution?”

This beginning school year is not just another school year. You are not headed back to the same old school; to see the same old teachers and eat in the same old cafeteria. It is not more of the same.

This school year is the beginning of something NEW!

What do you want to see changed? What do you want to change? Do you want to change?

God spoke to the prophet Isaiah and said, “See, I’m doing a new thing!” Isaiah 65:17 “Look I’m creating new heavens and a new earth, so wonderful that no one will even think about the old ones anymore.”

Jesus didn’t say “I came so all things could be ….. uh ….. pretty much the same as they always been.” No, Jesus said “I came so that all things could be NEW”.

As you go back to the same old school and perhaps have the same old teachers, think of a way you can make it New and Better, for yourself and for others.

And remember; Jesus is always with you. Happy New School Year.

Super Thursday Night, beginning August 4th

Opportunities to serve:

Sunday July 31 we were asked to help serve a BBQ for a Birthday party. This is a great opportunity to give back to our church.

September 2-4 POW WOW. The women will sell pies and the men will sell ice cream. This is a very fun way to help our church groups. 3 hour shifts available. Please come and help. As always, if you need a ride, let me know and I will pick you up or arrange for it.
